Dropped by today to see if Rudy had changed any in the 6 weeks since I had last visited. Mr. Independent and the other 3 colts in his paddock were kicking up their heels and feeling pretty good in the crisp fall air. Rudy was without his halter which I’m told he gets out of frequently. This made it impossible to catch him so some of us took turns running him around the paddock so we could see him move. I also learned that he remains quite the alpha and won’t let any other horse in the shelter when he is in there and he has to be the first to eat! Watch the Youtube video to see a little of what we witnessed today.
