Jockeys and Jeans- May 30, 2015

Mom and I attended the 2nd annual Jockeys and Jeans fundraiser for PDJF at Indiana Grand Racino on Saturday, May 30th. We had the privilege of dining with none other than Hall Of Fame jockey Laffit Pincay Jr. It was fascinating to talk to him. After dinner, there was an autograph signing by 23 Hall of Fame jockeys. Triple Crown winning jockeys Steven Cauthen (Affirmed) and Jean Cruguet ( Seattle Slew) were among the jockeys in attendance to promote a documentary called Heart, Hope, and Glory. Great time! I’ll plan to attend another fundraiser soon. See pictures below.

Colt- 3 weeks old

Visited Dream’s new colt on May 23rd at 3 weeks old. It was amazing to see how much better the colt was managing his long legs. He kept going over to all of the other mares and foals and they would run him off! He isn’t afraid to venture quite a distance from Dream. She is good at fostering independent offspring. He really does like to stand and pose for the camera as you can see below!
