On the Point’s short yearling has been at Margaux until just before Christmas. She made the transition well from Dr. Beam’s in Trafalgar to Margaux Farm. The farm told me that she literally walked off the van from Trafalgar, settled right in and began eating like it was just another day. Everything’s Rosy is out of Blueskiesnrainbows. This was a breeding recommended by Cecil Seaman who has been gracious enough to help me in planning the mating’s for both On the Point and Defining Hope. She is a big filly registering in the 4th percentile of her foal crop. This doesn’t surprise me since she was born big! Check out the pictures taken at 5 days old and the recent one taken 2 weeks ago. She will be a force to be reckoned with! Look out boys!!

Foaling Update- On the Point and Defining Hope
Update on Uphold
Uphold enjoyed his extended rest, but was eager to get back into training and has been back in training at Margaux Farm since the end of December. He is a fresh horse, happy, and feeling good. See the picture below of Uphold ( Gabe) taken at the end of January weighing approx. 150 lbs more!
Keeneland November Sale- 2019
There is a first for everything and this past November I had the opportunity to sell my first horse at the industry’s premier Breeding auction, the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale. I’d first like to thank Coolmore and Margaux Farm for their support of the weenling colt. His “specialness” was recognized literally from birth.
Defining Hope’s first foal, a colt, was sold as a weenling by Four Star Sales. Four Star did an amazing job! Ashley and Liz were a pleasure to work as well as Amanda at Margaux Farm who helped guide me through the process. Looking forward to working with them in the future.
The colt handled the auction experience extremely well. I could see Defining Hope’s influence both in his behavior in the back ring and as he entered the sales ring. He entered with such confidence. I was so proud! A big thanks goes out to Sarah at Margaux Farm for all of her efforts in his sales prep.
Below is an article mentioning Defining Hope’s weenling prior to sale.
